How far in advance should I book wedding catering in Launceston?
We recommend booking wedding catering in Launceston at least 3-6 months in advance, especially for peak season weekends. Corporate gatherings, socials and parties can often be arranged with 4-6 weeks' notice, depending on availability. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility we have to accommodate your vision.
Where is North Coast Catering based, and what areas do you cater?
North Coast Catering has its kitchen in Launceston, Tasmania. We cater regularly across Launceston, the Tamar Valley, the North Coast (Devonport, Burnie, Ulverstone), and northern Tasmania's east coast. Travel fees may apply for locations beyond our regular service area.
Do you cater weddings and corporate events in Hobart?
We occasionally cater events in Hobart and the south of Tasmania, particularly for larger weddings and corporate events where travel is viable. Contact us with your date and venue and we'll let you know whether we're a fit - travel surcharges apply for events outside northern Tasmania.
Do you offer gluten-free, vegan, or dairy-free catering?
Yes. We routinely cater for gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, nut-free, and other dietary needs. Let us know your guests' requirements during the consultation and we'll design a menu where every guest feels included - without compromising on flavour.
Do you offer food van or food truck catering in Tasmania?
Yes. Our food van is available for weddings, corporate events, festivals, and private parties across northern Tasmania. It's a great option if you want a more casual, street food style of catering. See our food van catering page for details.
Do you offer tastings before the event?
Yes. We offer complimentary tastings for wedding bookings. For corporate gatherings, socials and parties, tastings can be arranged for a nominal fee that is credited towards your final booking. It's a great way to experience our food and refine your menu choices.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Full details are on our Refund Policy. In short: deposits are non refundable; the balance is refundable on a tiered schedule based on how far out the cancellation is from the event date. We're always happy to discuss rescheduling options.
Do you provide equipment, staff, and table setup?
We provide all cooking and serving equipment as standard, along with our catering staff on the day.
How much does catering in Launceston cost?
Our pricing is per head and varies based on the style of service, number of courses, and guest count. Prices are listed on each service page so you know exactly what's included with no hidden costs.
Can I customise the menu for my event?
Customisation is at the heart of what we do. While our seasonal menu offers a great starting point, we build a unique selection for every event. We can include your favourite dishes or specialised ingredients to ensure the menu is exactly what you want.
